projects out of the over 100 entries. It was no hard task, but with
the help of the Portuguese Center for Design, we selected a winner.
We will announce the winner at a cocktail on July 2nd at 6 pm.

The (early) morning post...

Since I'm up this early in the morning, nothing more appropriated than talking about this juicy breakfast image of the tundra table. Whatever the size of your diner party, this table can adapt. 4 to 10 people can be comfortably seated in this table. The table sports a square base create an effect to please the eyes of your most discerning guest. Designed by Inês Martinho.

The Glare family of products are the essential elements to create a stylish and clean look, both for its simple forms and for its high gloss white finish. Step into design

Our love for the flexibility of mixing and building your very own personal solutions, gave birth to the STEP shelving unit. Available in two different heights, the step can be used as a stand alone piece but can also be combined to achieve the right length and height you need. The different spaces of the end dividers from shelve to shelve creates a dazzling visual effect no other unit can deliver. The STEP means simplicity at its best.

the NARA living room

The living room gives an edgy storage solution while creating independent living spaces. perfect for lofty areas in need of separations and for smaller spaces looking for that special minimalistic character. The modern contemporary lines of the Nara are also found on its TV stand/ bench version.

Simply NARA

I always find hard to describe the NARA. The official listing says TV Unit/ Room divider, but I see so much versatility in this piece I can hardly describe. You can use a single NARA as a TV bench, but put two of those together and make it a wall unit, room divider, shelving system and any other description you can come out with. The front features 2 drawers and the back is very well finish. You can't see the fittings making it a prime solution to divide spaces.

An innocent looking piece of furniture...

Most people don't realize at first sight how much you can do with this simple piece of furniture. For starters, you can use it as a stand alone TV bench, but you don't have to stop there. Flipping and pilling the Domino's create dazzling effects for any space. Called a shelving system on steroids if you will and let your creativity fly.

The thicker side of a bookcase

Not everyone is alike and we all have different needs. Thankfully, there are still some interior design indulgences that can be customized to our very own personal taste and requirements. The Denso shelving system is one the most configurable contenders in its category. With several configurations to choose from, the system's versatility allows you to mix and match shelves and accessories until you make your very own customized unit. The accessories range from drawer to TV units making it the perfect solution for the living room, dining area, office or library. The possibilities are limitless. Take it outside...

The Gem table is made of DuPont's Montelli, making it weatherproof. It brings me back to my childhood, when I could take my beloved belongings outdoors. luckily I don't have to stop it now.

Three reasons to be confortable

Leather, wood and metal. These were the elements in the head of designer Inês Martinho when laying the ground work for the praire living room. The prairie line of sofas sport modern geometric lines with sober, smooth finishes and were designed to be an instant classic, making it a centerpiece of any living space.

Look mom, NO SEAMS!

Designed by Filipe Alarcão, Portugal´s renowned product designer, the Gem table is made with DuPont´s monteli. A new material very similar to Corian. The Montelli however absorbs the bonding of specific glue differently, making it impossible to view the pieces connecting. The end result is a piece that looks like it´s been dilapidated from a single stone. The Montelli material also allows you to use the Gem table indoors and outdoors.

Flower Power!

Created by the marriage of visual communications and product design, this set of tables takes a concept applied to various products but never to furniture. The silver Floral patterns are applied to the coffee table before its final lacquering, making the high gloss white uniform across the top.
Flora is the proof that a right detail makes a piece unique. Designed by upcoming Portuguese designer Flora Mendonça.

A cool and elegant way to use a bookcase

Part of the multitude of accessories available for the Pombal shelving system, glass doors add an edgy visual element to any configuration. The tall doors for example, make the perfect accent when placed in from of a window or as a room divider. Different lighting reflection will certainly add a feeling of larger spaces to any area.

A new hit musical, now playing in your home.

Using a European musical instrument as inspiration, The Scatola was designed as a unique piece with special cut-out openings on its doors which were based on the paper fold and cut technique. The openings are laser cut with remarkable precision, this, combined with the high quality, pure white finish make this piece an object of prestige in any room you place it. The cuts are very similar in design to those of a musical instrument and substitute knobs to open the credenza.
